They are two very different things. Big Bang Theory is still under extensive observational testing, and in practice this will never end. That's how science works. We are constantly looking for the flaws in any good idea. Mathematics, however, is not science. It actually uncovers 'facts' that are eternal such as 1+1 = 2. If you are looking for things that are true...be a mathematician. If you are looking for things that seem to reflect how the world is put together and operates...become a scientist. But always remember that scientists uncover rules and patterns that nature seems to follow most of the time. There can and sometimes are exceptions to these rules, and these exceptions when found cause scientists to build the next round of 'better' theories. We have to respect this process, and assume that what we understand right now is the best that we have until we can find the exceptions, document them, and then craft the replacement. So far, Big Bang Theory is the best idea we have. We have discovered no issues that are not successfully covered by it given how well we presently can measure the factors that define Big Bang cosmology.
Son dos cosas muy diferentes. La teoría del Big Bang se extiende bajo pruebas observacionales, y en la práctica esto nunca acaba. Así es como la ciencia trabaja. Nosotros (los científicos) estamos buscando constantemente los defectos en cualquier buena idea.
Las matemáticas, sin embrago, no son ciencia. Ésta descubre hechos que son eternos tal como 1+1=2. Si buscas cosas que son verdaderas... sé un matemático. Si buscas cosas que parecen reflejar cómo el mundo está construido y cómo trabaja... conviértete en científico. Pero siempre recuerda que un científico descubre reglas y modelos que la naturaleza parece seguir la mayor parte del tiempo. Pueden y hay ecepciones a estas reglas, y cuando son encontradas hacen que los científicos construyan el próximo ruedo de 'mejores' teorías. Tenemos que respetar este proceso, y asumir que lo que comprendemos ahora es lo mejor que tenemos hasta que encontremos las excepciones, documentarlas y entonces hacer el replazo. Pero de lejos, la teoría del Big Bang es la mejor idea que tenemos. No hemos descubierto resultados que no sean cubiertos exitosamente por ella dado qué tan bien podemos medir los factores que definen la cosmología del Big Bang.
